Materials: 1-2 oz sport or baby yarn
Knitting Needles: four size 5 double pointed needles.
(K=knit DP=double point, ST=stitch, BEG=begin, STS= stitches, DEC=decrease, TOG=together, REM=remain, YO=yarn over) |

Begin: Cast on 80 (or any multiple of 8). Place stitches on three double pointed needles and knit in the round...being careful not to twist the stitches. Knit evenly for 2 inches. To add eyelet pattern, knit next three rows as follows:
Row 1: K5, ( K2 tog, YO, Knit 6), repeat to last three sts, K2 tog, YO, K1.
Row 2: Knit
Row 3: K4 ( K2 tog, YO, K2 tog, YO, K4), repeat to last 4 stitches, K2 tog, YO, K2 tog, YO.
Continue knitting evenly until piece is 4 inches from beginning.
Shaping:
K6, K2TOG. Repeat to end of round.
K5, K2TOG, Repeat to end of round.
K4, K2TOG Repeat to end of round.
Repeat this DEC progression until 6 ST REM. Knit these STS for 6 rows.
Cut yarn 6 inches long and pull through remaining sts. Pull tail to inside finish off using tapestry needle. Shape stem.
