Materials:
DK or Sport weight yarn
Size 8, 9, or 10 knitting needles
Instructions:
Make rows in multiples of 18 sts. For baby blanket, cast on 144 sts.
Row 1: K
Row 2: P
Row 3: K2tog (three times); *yo and k1 (six times); k2tog six times*; Repeat ** across row, ending with yo and k1 (six times), k2tog (three times).
Row 4: K
Repeat these four rows for the pattern until the blanket is the desired length (about 40-45 inches for a baby blanket).
Cast off after completing row 4.
Note: this blanket may be made any size desired by casting on multiples of 18 sts.
