Chain 4.  Join with sl st to form ring.

Round 1: Ch 2, dc 11 sts in ring. Join with sl st.

Round 2: Ch3; Triple crochet (TC) 2 sts in same st as chain; ch 2; tc 3 sts in same st; ch 1; skip 2 dc; *Tc 3 sts in next st, ch 2, tc 3 sts in same st, Ch 1*; skip 2 dc.  Repeat ** two times (making four corners to the square).  Join with sl st to top ch of next st.  Ch 3.  Turn.

Round 3: Tc 2 times in same ch 1 space as ch; ch 1; *tc 3 times in next ch2 space; ch 2; tc 3 times in same space; ch 1; tc 3 times in next ch 1 space; ch 1*.  Repeat around.  Join with sl st.  Ch 3.  turn.

Continue in pattern as follows: 
   Tc 2 times in same ch 1 space as ch; ch 1. 
   Tc in each ch 1 space; ch 1.  
   Tc 3 times in each corner ch 2 space; ch 2, tc 3 times; ch 1.
   At end of each row, join with sl st; ch 3; turn.

Continue until blanket is approximately 36” square.  Finish off.
